The president of PSG, Nasser al-Khelaïfi, announced that the capital club would indeed leave the Parc des Princes.

The duel between the Qatari owner of Paris Saint-Germain and the Paris town hall is about to end. But the information revealed by Nasser al-Khelaïfi himself, after participating in the UEFA executive committee, is certainly not what Paris Saint-Germain supporters could have expected. For the president of the capital club, the decision is clear: PSG will leave the Parc des Princes.

It was at the microphone of several French media that the Parisian decision-maker confirmed that the page on a possible takeover of the Park had been turned, implying for him an inevitable departure of his club to another venue. A decision all the more logical for him as the Paris Council, chaired by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, once again refused to sell the stadium, owned by the city of Paris. Deputy for sport, Pierre Rabadan had thus indicated, in comments relayed by RMC : “ From the start, we have wanted PSG to stay at the Parc des Princes (but) we do not want to cede Parisian heritage. »

Nasser al-Khelaïfi and Qatar have therefore taken note of the position of Parisian elected officials. For his part, RMC added that an emergency meeting was already scheduled and that investments in the Park would be stopped altogether. The media also relayed the words of the president of PSG on his decision: “It’s too easy to say now that the stadium is no longer for sale. We know what we want. We wasted years trying to buy the Park. It’s over for us now. We want to move from the Park. »
