Thanks to an own goal from Spanish defender Sergio Martinez Macias (51e) and two achievements by Exaucé Mafoumbi M’Badinga (63e and 66e), the young Nantes players led 3-0 in this game before breaking three times in eight minutes, with a goal from Ivan Salguero (69e), a csc from Taigy Dugard (75e) and a banderilla planted by Alberto Collado from the penalty spot (77e).
Some 13,400 spectators gathered at Beaujoire – including Jocelyn Gourvennec and his staff – ended up exulting nevertheless, Nantes joining Lens at the eighth stage of this Youth League. The draw will take place this Friday in Nyon.
