Thiago Motta’s very good season as Bologna coach is of interest to a large number of European clubs. Several rumors send him to prestigious benches such as Barça or Juventus. Now his name is associated with that of PSG. It is Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Naples, who mentions the news in a press conference. Asked about the possible arrival of Thiago Motta at his club, the Italian replied: “ I had a conversation with Thiago Motta last year in Rome. It lasted 6 hours. He told me he aspired to coach some clubs outside Italy “. What a journalist responded to “PSG?”. Hypothesis validated by the Neapolitan president: “There you are, you’re the one who said it.”.

Since then, PSG has recruited Luis Enrique to hope for the long term. In 2018, after six years at the club as a midfielder, Thiago Motta retired from sports in Paris. He then coached the club’s youth team with the U19s for a season before returning to Italy to coach a first team. The former Inter and Barça player has never hidden his intention to one day coach PSG.
