The draw for the next UEFA Nations League takes place this Thursday (6 p.m.) and the French team could fall on hard times because it is in the third hat!
After its last catastrophic Nations League campaign in 2022 (only one victory, two draws and three defeats!), Didier Deschamps’ French team is placed in pot 3 of the draw for the 2024-2025 edition, which will take place this Thursday evening (6 p.m.) in Paris. A group of death is possible, since Spain, Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands (who met in the 2023 Final Four) are the top seeds.
For Kylian Mbappé and his teammates, Portugal and Belgium should also be avoided in hat 2, while those promoted to League A, Israel, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Scotland, make up the last hat. The group stage will be played during the international windows in September, October and November.
Quarter-finals in March 2025!
Big news for this 2024-2025 edition, the first two in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals scheduled for March 2025, before a Final Four from June 4 to 8. Note that there will then be the Club World Cup in the United States from June 15 to July 13 and the African Cup of Nations at the same time. The summer 2025 schedule looks crazy.
Hat 1: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Netherlands
Hat 2: Portugal, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary
Hat 3: France, Poland, Germany, Switzerland
Hat 4: Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Scotland
