It’s the return of the Coupe de France and this Tuesday, Sochaux opens the ball in the round of 16 by hosting Stade Rennais. After having achieved two consecutive exploits by defeating Lorient (2-1) and Reims (3-2) in the previous rounds, the Lion Cubs will try to achieve the pass of three against a Ligue 1 club. The task will be much more complicated , at least on paper, against Julien Stéphan’s men.
Rennais who, for their part, brought down Olympique de Marseille in the round of 16 (2-1) and who hope to take a further step in this Coupe de France which could offer them a direct ticket to Europe in case of final victory. A goal that is still very distant, but which the Bretons have not lost sight of. For this match against Sochaux, the Rennes team should however be significantly overhauled by Julien Stéphan.

Several changes are therefore expected on the Breton side, including the expected tenure of Gauthier Gallon in front of the cage, but also Azor Matusiwa, Ludovic Blas and Amine Gouiri two notches higher. In attack, Martin Terrier and Arnaud Kalimuendo should start. On the Sochaux side, a 4-3-3 is expected with the Fatard-Koffi-Daho trio up front, or even captain Malcolm Vitlard in midfield.
