Clearly, Sevilla FC’s trip to Rayo Vallecano clearly did not go as planned this Monday. Even if the Andalusians imposed themselves with panache on Madrid soil, several incidents clearly tarnished the meeting. In addition to the olive affair against Lucas Ocampos, racist insults were allegedly made against Youssef En-Nesyri.

Author of a double to seal the victory for his team, the Moroccan striker prostrated himself after his second goal, as many Muslim players have done for years. A celebration which provoked the ire of Rayo supporters who then shouted racist insults against the 26-year-old striker: “this moor is a son of a pyou, eh! This Moor is a son of a pyou.“. Several Iberian sources affirm that the matter is taken very seriously by La Liga which announced the opening of a case to find the culprits of this heinous act.
