A little over a week ago, Xavi publicly announced his desire to leave his post as Barça coach at the end of the current season.
While his team gave the best response by signing a precious success on the pitch of Alavés (3-1), Xavi again made vehement remarks, pointing the finger at the refereeing. The former midfielder believes that Barça is paying for the Negreira affair, this corruption scandal which affects the club.

“ I only ask that the referees let us play, Xavi thundered. That’s all I ask. I won’t talk about referees anymore, because it always backfires on me. But let us play. Vitor Roque’s second yellow card is a blatant mistake, nothing more. Since the first match, I said it to Getafe, I believe we are paying for the Negreira affair. I have no doubt about it.
