Manchester City would be interested in the two Bayern Munich players, Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala.
The Athletic has reported that Pep Guardiola could be interested in a potential reunion with Kimmich, who he worked with during his time at the German club. The report suggests that a source close to the Premier League club has refuted interest in a January move, but that a summer move could very well be a possibility.
As for Musiala, The Athletic suggests that City will only try to lure the young player if he turns down a contract extension with the Bavarians. Kimmich has often been linked with a move from Bayern (PSG has often been talked about) due to his expertise as a right-back and defensive midfielder. Musiala is also seen as a future superstar, which perhaps explains City’s interest.
Bayern are currently second in the championship, five points behind Bayer Leverkusen. City, for their part, are also five points behind leader Liverpool. Both teams will try to dethrone their closest competitors before the end of the season.
