Monaco in mourning, beautiful emotion

After the death of Jean Petit, AS Monaco honored him on Sunday, during the reception at Le Havre (20th day of Ligue 1).

He marked the history of AS Monaco. On Sunday, the Principality club paid a vibrant tribute to Jean Petit, a few minutes before AS Monaco-Le Havre, a match counting for the 20th day of Ligue 1.

The family of the former French international midfielder, who died on January 23, was at the edge of the pitch at the Louis-II stadium during the minute of applause which preceded the kick-off given by the referee Jérôme Brisard.

In the 8th minute of play, in reference to the number 8 worn by Jean Petit on Le Rocher (1969-1982), the public clapped their hands again in memory of the man who spent more than forty years in the service of the ‘ASM.
