While the Neroverdi quickly raised the tone with Kristian Thorstvedt’s opener (13th), Joshua Zirkzee subsequently managed to equalize (24th). But Alessio Dionisi’s players took the lead again thanks to Cristian Volpato (34th). In the second half, the Neroverdi were able to hold the score for a majority of the last act.

Nevertheless, Thiago Motta’s Rossoblu once again showed determination to completely turn the tide. First with Giovanni Fabbian (73rd) to equalize but especially with Lewis Ferguson (83rd) to lead the score. As the final whistle approached, Alexis Saelemaekers locked in (86th) the victory for the locals (4-2). In the ranking, Bologna remains in a very good position in the Italian championship with a good 5th position, while Sassuolo is scanning the bottom of the table with this 15th place.
