Composition

Dunkerque-Saint-Étienne, pre-match

After a series of four games without defeat in the league, Saint-Étienne fell against Amiens on the last day (0-1). A problematic setback for the Greens, still in the race to return to Ligue 1, but who have practically no margin for error. In the standings, Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men occupy tenth place, but are only two points from the play-offs for accession to the next level. Traveling this Saturday on the Dunkirk pitch, the Stéphanois would be well inspired to leave with at least one point in their bag. A meeting to follow live with commentary on our site.

But the task will not necessarily be easy for the Greens who are sometimes too sharing or too tender. Because if Dunkirk occupies a worrying eighteenth place in the Ligue 2 standings, it remains in three matches without defeat in the league, including two victories over Paris FC (1-2) and AC Ajaccio (2-0). Enough to regain confidence when facing ASSE. The Northerners will, however, have to do without Anziani and Maurer, both suspended, while Bessile, Laaziri and Boissier are still injured.

Dunkirk-Saint-Étienne, the probable lineups

In terms of team compositions, Dunkirk should play in a 4-4-1-1 system. Captain Courtet at the forefront, supported by Bardeli, while Balijon will take his place in front of the cage. Opposite, Saint-Étienne will offer a 4-1-4-1. Monconduit should regain his place at the expense of Bouchouari in midfield. Cardona will start on offense. On the defense side, no changes to be expected, Appiah and Maçon taking care of the wings in particular.

Dunkirk: Balijon – Youssouf, Ba, Sangante, Bilingi – Yassine, Gbamin, Keita, Bah – Bardeli – Courtet

ASSE: Larsonneur – Appiah, Briançon, Nadé, Maçon – Tardieu – Chambost, Moueffek, Monconduit, Cafaro – Cardona
