The current coach of the French women’s team should return to Africa very soon.
Hervé Renard will not take charge of the Ivory Coast selection. But he may well return to Africa for a challenge with another selection. His name is currently mentioned on the Egyptian side.
According to the media “Kora”, Renard would have given his agreement to drive the “Pharaons”. However, it is not specified when he plans to change sides. Because, it is worth remembering, he is still under contract with the French federation. He must lead the women’s selection at the next Olympics.
Renard prefers Egypt to Algeria
If he takes charge of Egypt, Renard will have his fourth experience at the head of an African selection. Previously, he had dealt with Zambia, Ivory Coast and Angola. With the first two teams named, he managed to win the African Cup of Nations.
Renard had also recently been cited on the Algerian side. The local federation had thought of him first to ensure the continuation of Djamel Belmadi. This, however, did not materialize. Or the Egyptian neighbors were the quickest to convince him.
