In search of reinforcement in central defense, PSG tried to attract a renowned defender in the final stretch of the transfer window.
The last day of the transfer market was ultimately calm at PSG. If the capital club finally completed the expected departure of Ugo Ekitike, sent as expected to Eintracht Francfot, where he was loaned with an option to buy, no last minute reinforcement finally arrived in the capital as hoped.
The only two recruits in the French champions’ winter transfer window will therefore remain Lucas Beraldo, whose first performances did not convince many people, and Gabriel Moscardo, who left as quickly as he arrived due to an injury and was finally loaned to the Corinthians until the end of the season.
PSG depleted in central defense
Faced with the long-term absences of Presnel Kimpembe and Milan Skriniar, PSG has long sought to recruit another central defender, making Leny Yoro a priority. Le Losc nevertheless did not want to hear anything and the Parisian leaders tried until the last moments to find a plan B.
To believe The Team, Luis Campos and his teams tried on Thursday to attract Matthjis de Ligt. The Dutch defender, recruited for 80 million euros by Bayern Munich in 2022, has now been essentially confined to the bench for several months. A situation which the former Turinese obviously has difficulty coping with. So much so that he is determined to leave Bavaria next summer. PSG therefore wanted to take advantage of the situation but was met with a refusal by the Batavian international, who preferred to stay with the Rotten until next June rather than attempt an uncertain adventure in Paris.
