This Friday, Mauricio Pochettino spoke about the physical form of Christopher Nkunku.
Since his arrival at Chelsea, Christopher Nkunku didn’t have much opportunity to showcase his talent on the pitch. Having knee surgery just before the start of the 2023-2024 season, the French international (10 caps) returned at the end of December and only played five matches with the Blues. Scorer on Wednesday despite his team’s debacle at Liverpool, the former Parisian reassures when he is on the pitch, but Mauricio Pochettino does not want to rush him.
Nkunku still has to work
Present at a press conference this Friday, the Argentinian technician intends to further strengthen his player so that he is in the best possible condition for the rest of the season. “We need to take care of Christopher Nkunku and build his confidence and fitness step by step. He has to work hard to give his best and I am obviously happy with the help he is giving to the team. But we have to be careful in how we push him to get him into the shape we expect him to be.”he explained at a press conference this Friday.
