After the failure of the arrival of Saïd Benrahma, OL could finally succeed in recruiting the Algerian international.

Already very active during the winter transfer window with six recruits and the status of the biggest spending club in January 2024,Olympique Lyonnais is also at the heart of the post-transfer soap opera with the case Said Benrahmawhose arrival at OL could not be made in the last moments of this winter window.

The reason ? A computer bug which would have prevented West Ham managers from sending the necessary documents for the departure of the Algerian international. A great disappointment for the Rhone club, which decided to appeal to FIFA to be able to register Benrahma a posteriori.

FIFA accepts

After deploring the fact that the leaders of the London club, the general director of OL Laurent Prud’homme announced that FIFA had agreed to validate the matchinformation in the FIFA system. “It seems that FIFA has for the moment accepted the validation of the match. Our efforts are paying off. The FFF made the request to the English federation, which has seven days to accept. Now, it is up to the English federation to validate with the French federation”, he explained at a press conference this Friday. Benrahma could therefore finally land in Lyon and become the seventh recruit this winter.
