At the end of the transfer window, Galatasaray offered two winter reinforcements including a former PSG player.
The club of Galatasaray was very active during the 2023 summer transfer window by spending intelligently in order to strengthen itself mainly with big names lacking confidence in their clubs such as Mauro Icardi, Tanguy Ndombélé or even Hakim Ziyech. An attractive team on paper but also on the pitch since the Istanbul club is competing for first place in the Turkish championship with Fenerbahçe and has only lost one league match this season.
But this winter, Gala lost one of its strong elements since the French full-back Sacha Boey joined Bayern Munich for a nice sum of 30 million euros. This Friday, Galatasaray formalized the arrival of his replacement, the former Parisian Serge Aurier who therefore leaves Nottingham Forest after only a year and a half with the English club. Transferred for 800,000 euros, the Ivorian international signed a contract until the end of the 2023-2024 season. In attack, the Rouge et Orange also compensated for the departure of Cédric Bakambu by signing the former Tottenham player Carlos Vinicius who leaves Fulham for a loan paying 1.2 million euros.
