The Strasbourg Racing Club is experiencing a very hectic last day of the transfer window.
These days, Patrick Vieira would certainly have signed for another scenario. While the Racing Club de Strasbourg prepares to face Paris Saint-Germain at the opening of the 20th day of Ligue 1, this Friday (9 p.m.), this last day of the transfer window should reshape the workforce of the Alsatian club in proportions important.
Strasbourg is in fact separating from two notable elements of its group. At the end of the afternoon, Racing announced that it had reached an agreement with the Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow for the transfer of Gerzino Nyamsi. The Franco-Cameroonian defender will open a new chapter in his career on the other side of Europe. “ Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace and Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia) have reached an agreement for the transfer of Gerzino Nyamsi,” we can read in an official press release published by the Alsatian club.
But the most important departure of this winter would undoubtedly be that of Matz Sels. The 31-year-old Belgian international goalkeeper flew to England to sign a contract with Nottingham Forest. Iconic goalkeeper for Racing Club de Strasbourg, Sels has established himself in recent seasons as a sure bet in Ligue 1 in his position. His departure will be difficult to fill for Racing.
