According to the same journalist, the federation contacted several coaches and two natives of Yugoslavia would be on pole: Vahid Halilhodzic, coach of the Greens from 2011 to 2014 (for a historic round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup), and Vladimir Petkovic, the coach of Switzerland from 2014 to 2021.
