OM would be willing to let one of its best elements leave this winter, if not the best.
But what is Pablo Longoria playing? Does the Olympian president still care about the competitiveness of his club or only about its finances? The question deserves to be asked in view of the latest decision which was taken at the highest levels of OM.
OM management annoyed by Clauss
According to what Foot Mercato reports, Marseille would be ready to part ways with their right back Jonathan Clauss. The latter has contacts with foreign clubs and the management no longer takes a dim view of the fact that he is leaving.
A departure of the former Lensois is possible because he could bring a good amount of money to the club. But it’s not just the economic aspect. The player’s behavior would also have led Olympian officials to consider a separation.
Clauss, who wants to play the Euro with the France team, is playing too cautiously at the moment. Afraid of getting hurt, he asks for a change at the slightest warning. Behavior which would have disturbed the Marseille staff and board to the highest degree. And this was especially the case last weekend during the match against Monaco.
As a reminder, Clauss was approached by Bayern at the start of the transfer window. Finally, the German club decided to recruit Sacha Boey (Galatasaray). And the latter could well join the French team and thus become the one who deprives Clauss of the European championship.
