Leaving Lyon, Fabio Grosso wins a trophy

Italian coach Fabio Grosso has just been awarded one of his first distinctions as a coach.

Leaving Lyon did Fabio Grosso good. He no longer faces the heavy pressure of saving this club from collapse and he begins to receive accolades for his work as a coach. This Monday, he received an award in Italy which rewards his great 2022/2023 season with Frosinone.

Grosso won the “Panchina d’argento” (the silver bench) prize for bringing Frosinone into the Italian elite. Proof that his work is still recognized in his country. Enough to console himself for his failed experience with Les Gones.

Grosso is currently out of work. Following his time at OL, he was approached to coach Palermo, but it did not happen. Currently, he is waiting for a new project to revive his career.

Besides Lyon and Frosinone, Grosso also took care of Hellas Verona, Bari, Brescia and Sion. With more or less mixed results.
