The image is terrible and leaves us fearing the worst four and a half months before the Euro: Kingsley Coman seriously injured his knee this Saturday.

It was supported by two members of the Bavarian medical staff, with a crestfallen expression and perceptible pain, that the will-o’-the-wisp had to leave the pitch, without being able to place his left foot on the ground. A very bad sign for Bayern and the Blues, who are certainly counting on the former Parisian and Turin player in the run-up to Euro 2024.
Three months of absence at least?
Under the leadership of Didier Deschamps, when he is at 100% of his means, Kingsley Coman can boast of having the status of a tricolor executive, in balance with Ousmane Dembélé to liven up the corridor dedicated to him. If the worst is confirmed – namely a feared ligament injury – then his pretensions to selection for the Euro will be over. A sprain will keep him away from the field for a good three months at least. A disaster.
