The management of Manchester City would seek to acquire four elements that make Girona happy this season.
Manchester City are interested in four days of Girona’s first team. Which bodes well for a summer transfer window at the Etihad Stadium.
Man City strengthens with its satellite club
Girona is owned by City’s umbrella company, City Football Group (CFG), and therefore has a right of first refusal over all its players.
According to Cronica Global, Txiki Begiristain, City’s general manager, was in Spain last week to watch Girona’s 5-1 victory over Sevilla. Back home, the Catalan inquired with Girona about midfielder Viktor Tsygankov, full-back Yan Couto and attackers Artem Dovbyk and Savio.
Savio is currently on loan at Girona from Troyes, another CFG club. Couto, meanwhile, is already with City and would therefore have no problem returning to the North West of England.
As a reminder, Girona is currently leader of the Spanish championship. The fact that its players are now being courted by the biggest players on the continent is in no way a surprise. City has priority over them and it is logical that they try to take advantage of it.
