Chelsea are not the only English club to be interested in Nigerian Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Premier League powerhouse Arsenal is reportedly in competition with Chelsea to recruit Neapolitan striker Victor Osimhen next off-season.

A battle between two London clubs for Osimhen

The two English clubs are therefore in competition to snatch the former Lille player from the Partenopei. They are certain that he could be their providential man in attack for many years.

Arsenal want a more clinical and powerful player than Gabriel Jesus or Eddie Nketiah. Chelsea are also looking to afford a quality goalkeeper, given that Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja are not really satisfactory in this register.

Any club wishing to sign Osimhen this summer will still have to comply with the striker’s buyout clause, which amounts to 130 million euros. A significant amount, especially in these times and given that the Saudis’ tap is currently double turned off.
