Eager to leave Udinese, Florian Thauvin reiterated his desire to return to the French championship.

After a difficult time in Mexico, with the Tigres de Monterrey, Florian Thauvin tried to relaunch his career at Udinese. But after a promising start, the 2018 world champion has had to make do with crumbs for several meetings.

In an interview with L’Équipe, the 30-year-old former Marseillais once again expressed his desire to return to play in Ligue 1 in the near future. “I miss the Championship, I also miss life in France, he indicated. L1 is a Championship that I know particularly well, in which I have performed well. At some point, if I have this possibility, if a good project presents itself, of course I would like to return to L1…”

“I’m as bad as I was when I was 20”

And Thauvin added: “Watch the videos, I’m in crazy shape, really. A few days ago, just in training, I ran nine kilometers during the session, it was unheard of. And I am exactly the same player who left OM. (…) I feel as bad as I did when I was 20. » As a reminder, “Flotov” is linked to Udinese until June 2025.
