According to a study by Deloitte, PSG has climbed onto the podium for the first time in the ranking of clubs with the highest turnover.

PSG did not shine last season. If the capital club won a new French championship title, it experienced new disillusionment in the Champions League, being eliminated in the round of 16 by Bayern Munich. A failure which did not prevent the Rouge et Bleu from having a very successful year financially.

According to the traditional study by the Deloitte firm, PSG even had a historic year with a turnover increased to 802 million euros. Enough to allow the Parisian club to climb onto the podium in the ranking in this area, only ahead of Real Madrid, back at the top thanks to its 831 million euros in turnover, and Manchester City, which follows with 826 million euros in turnover.

Merchandising and ticketing on the rise

If certain clubs like Liverpool, which fell off the podium and are only in seventh place, have paid heavily for their poor sporting results, European big names such as Real Madrid and PSG have been able to count on their commercial performance, whether in terms of ticketing or on the marketing aspect, to have a successful year.

In total, the top twenty clubs in the ranking generated no less than 10.5 billion euros in turnover, an increase of 14%, and ticketing reached a record level with 1.9 billion in revenue generated and merchandising explodes everything with 4.4 billion in revenue.
