Ekitike, it’s still stuck!

In discussions with Frankfurt for the transfer of Hugo Ekitike, Paris Saint-Germain refused Eintracht’s first proposal, according to RMC.

Clearly, the Hugo Ekitike series is not easy for Paris Saint-Germain. Unwanted, the former Stade de Reims player does not fit into Luis Enrique’s plans at all, and he should leave the capital club this winter. And we’re still talking about a departure to Eintracht Frankfurt, which almost happened last summer, which collapsed, which came very close to blocking the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani to PSG.

Discussions have therefore resumed between the three parties, but an agreement between the two clubs is already missing. According to RMC, Frankfurt offered a loan with a purchase option of 20 million euros, which is already rather interesting for a player who has been in the closet for six months. But PSG is negotiating, and wants to recover a little more money, to get closer to the 35 million euros invested in the French international hopefuls.

Ekitike accepted a pay cut

Another important point is that of salary. The 6 million euros annually received by Ekitike are a huge obstacle for German clubs interested in him, because such an amount is not possible for most Bundesliga teams. But in this case, RMC adds that Ekitike would have accepted a significant drop in revenue, to the point that an agreement would be close between the players and Frankfurt. Everything could therefore be unlocked by the end of the transfer window, even if we are no longer close to a twist…
