Beaten in the first leg, the Blues corrected Middlesbrough (6-1) in the League Cup final, with a double from Cole Palmer.

Without a trophy since winning the Club World Cup at the end of 2021, Chelsea have qualified for the League Cup final, and will go to Wembley to try to win this competition for the sixth time.

Beaten 1-0 in the first leg at Middlesbrough, the Blues did not give details on the return, winning largely (6-1). The fate was resolved in the first period, with a CSC from Howson (15th) and goals from Fernandez (29th), Disasi (36th) and Palmer (42nd). In the second half, Cole Palmer scored twice (77th) and Noni Madueke scored his goal (81st). “Boro” reduced the gap by Rogers (88th), for the honor.

Chelsea will face Liverpool or Fulham in the final. The Reds won the first leg at Anfield (2-1), and the return takes place on Wednesday evening at Craven Cottage.
