The First Lady of France Brigitte Macron was present alongside the coach of the Blues, Didier Deschamps, at the Maison des Parents of the Reims University Hospital, as part of the Yellow Pieces operation. And while the radio Champagne FM questioned the Blues coach about the current season at Stade de Reims, Brigitte Macron explained that she was a fan of the Japanese striker from Stade de Reims: Junya Ito (30 years old). “There is a Japanese guy who plays very well in Reims, what’s his name again?”she asked.
“Yes, Junya Ito, that’s it. He is very good !”, she then replied, after a journalist gave her the answer. The First Lady then spoke about it to the coach of the French team. “We must select him in the team, Didier! Why don’t you take it?”she then asked. “Well…because he’s Japanese”, replied Didier Deschamps, in a burst of laughter.
