After yet another episode of racism in Italy, involving the French goalkeeper of AC Milan, Mike Maignan, support and condemnation follow one another in world football. In Ivory Coast, where a great African Cup of Nations is currently being organized, the defender and captain of Senegal, Kalidou Koulibaly, went to the front to be scandalized by the lack of real political decisions to stem this major problem, while the current rock of Al-Hilal had also been the victim of racist remarks in Serie A when he played in Naples.

“As long as the highest sporting and other institutions as well as football clubs do not give top priority to this battle, I am unfortunately convinced that racism will continue to penetrate the stadiums. Unfortunately, we find ourselves here, for the umpteenth time, scandalized by an episode of racism. But now is not the time for words: we now need concrete actions. Otherwise, we will continue to experience the same shame in the stadiums”said the former Napoli defender.
