Manchester United have reportedly decided to offer two of their most expensive signings of all time to the Saudi Pro League.

The richest division in world football has major transfer plans for 2024 and is looking to continue its work from last summer, even though Jordan Henderson has already left and Karim Benzema could soon join him by leaving Saudi Arabia . Erik ten Hag’s side have seen several high-profile arrivals fail to make the desired impact at Old Trafford in recent years and have decided that flops Antony and Jadon Sancho are no longer needed.

Very expensive flops

They therefore offered both players to clubs in the Saudi Pro League, according to Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard. Sancho is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund after being left out of Man Utd’s first team by Ten Hag, while Antony has only played 66 minutes in the last three Premier League matches.

Both players have failed to live up to their price tag since arriving at Old Trafford and the Red Devils hope to recoup some of their investment by offering Sancho and Antony to clubs in Saudi Arabia. According to The Evening Standard, Man Utd want a sum of around 58 million euros for each of the two players. Sancho is Man Utd’s fourth most expensive signing of all time, thanks to his €85 million move from Dortmund in 2021, while Antony is second on the list after his €95 million move from Ajax in 2022.
