Salah, the bad news

Egypt is in turmoil. Mohamed Salah could well be done with his African Cup of Nations.

In a delicate position after two days of the continental tournament, held in check by Mozambique and Ghana by the same score of 2-2, the Egyptians may be all the more concerned as their playing master is on the sidelines.

Out injured against the Black Stars, the Liverpool striker suffers from a muscle injury which should keep him away from the pitch beyond the time initially announced by the Egyptian football federation, which was counting on an absence for the third match of group and a possible round of 16.

Not before the half?

Affected in the hamstring of his left leg, Mo Salah should be unavailable for two to three weeks, i.e. until the semi-finals of the CAN a priori. A real blow for Egypt which will not be allowed to make any mistakes against Cape Verde on Monday evening.
