Senegal: A good record for Mané

Scorer against Cameroon (3-1), Sadio Mané has entered the history of Senegalese football a little further.

Everything is going well for Senegal. After their inaugural success against Gambia, the Téranga Lions continued well on Friday against Cameroon (3-1), to ensure their qualification for the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations.

Senegalese captain, Sadio Mané sheltered his team by scoring the last goal of the match in added time (90th + 5). The former Liverpool player goes a little further into the history of his country since he becomes the first player in the history of Senegal to score in 4 different editions of the CAN (2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023).

Sadio Mané is without a doubt the greatest Senegalese player in history. The Al-Nassr striker is the top scorer in the history of his national team, now with 41 goals. He is ahead of Henri Camara (29 goals) and El-Hadji Diouf (24 goals). And Mané of course allowed Senegal to win its first CAN two years ago.
