However, Leipzig quickly regained the advantage as Loïs Openda shook the net after a serve from Dani Olmo (2-1, 56th). With their backs to the wall, the visitors redoubled their efforts and Jonathan Tah came looking for an equalizer again (2-2, 63rd). In the final moments, the Bundesliga leader was once again able to show resourcefulness to achieve a 3-2 victory following a goal from Piero Hincapié (90th +2). As a result, Xabi Alonso’s team takes a seven-point lead over Bayern Munich with two more matches. RB Leipzig is fourth.
