José Mourinho, who has just been relieved of his duties at Roma, could have bounced back with another major Serie A club.
The famous agent Jorge Mendes offered José Mourinho to another Serie A club. Barely arriving from Rome, the Lusitanian technician could therefore have relaunched with a rival.
Mourinho demands too much money
According to Sportmediaset, a few hours after Mourinho’s dismissal in Rome, his agent Mendes telephoned Aurelio De Laurentiis. He presented him with the possibility that the Special One would take the reins of the Partenopei this summer.
The Napoli boss did not reject the idea, but explained that he was totally focused on the January market and would not consider changing his technical bar until next month in the best case scenario.
Walter Mazzarri is linked to Naples until June and De Laurentiis is happy to continue with this technician until that date. And this, despite the disappointing results recorded by his team in recent weeks.
The only obstacle to Mourinho’s arrival at Naples is his salary demand of 7 million euros per year. It’s too expensive, even for De Laurentiis.
