Barely sacked by AS Rome, José Mourinho was contacted by a club in the Saudi championship. The “Special One” would be interested.

José Mourinho might not stay inactive for long. Pushed towards the exit this week by AS Roma, in the middle of his third season in Serie A with the Giallorossi, the Portuguese technician has already been the subject of a first approach.

According to several media, Mourinho would thus be the priority of Al-Shabab, the current 11th in the Saudi championship, which is not satisfied with its coach Igor Biscan. Unsurprisingly, an XXL salary would be offered to him, and the “Special One” would be open to a departure for the Saudi Pro League. “He is seriously considering the idea”even indicates Matteo Moretto, journalist for Relevo.

Stuck in the second half of the table, Al-Shabab has in its squad players like Romain Saïss, Yannick Carrasco, Ever Banega and the former Strasbourg player Habib Diallo. The Saudi championship resumes in mid-February after a winter break of almost two months. It would be the fifth championship visited by Mourinho after Portugal, England, Spain and Italy. To complete his hunting list, the double winner of the Champions League could be tempted by an adventure in France or Germany.
