A Ligue 1 Twitter account posted a small response to Cristiano Ronaldo after his comments on the French championship.

Cristiano Ronaldo stood out with a rather harsh statement towards Ligue 1, while he was in Dubai on the occasion of the Globe Soccer Awards, during which he notably won the prize for best world scorer of the year, best Middle Eastern player of the year but also football fans’ favorite player. The five-time Ballon d’Or indeed ensured that the Saudi Pro League was better than the French championship.

If this statement does not come from any request for comparison, it in any case seems to have been taken with humor by the English Ligue 1 account. Which simply posted a tweet with a photo of Kylian Mbappé and CR7 taken during the friendly match which pitted Paris Saint-Germain against a selection of the best players in Saudi Arabia.
