Now 27 years old, Thilo Kehrer claims to have learned a lot from the criticism he had to face during his time at PSG.

During this winter transfer window, Thilo Kehrer was loaned for six months with an option to buy 11.5 million euros from West Ham to AS Monaco. The German defender therefore returns to the French championship, which he experienced during his time at Paris Saint-Germain, between 2018 and 2022.

Four complicated seasons during which the German international was not spared from criticism. “I was 21 when I left Germany, left for a big club like PSG with big goals, with very high expectations, a very high level too. It made me learn a lot. Even the tougher periods, where I couldn’t show the level I have, it made me learn and I gained experience. It was necessary to know these periods, these criticisms too. Experiencing this was a first in my career. I can say today that it helped me enormously”confided the former Schalke 04 player during an interview given to RMC, in the show “Rothen s’ignle”.

Thilo Kehrer also took the opportunity to discuss his objectives with the Principality club. “With this team we must aim to qualify for the Champions League. As a team, we aim to play in Europe. Given the quality of the team, we know that going to the Champions League is something possible with Monaco”, he judged. For the moment, AS Monaco is in fourth place in Ligue 1.
