It’s been more than a month since Serhou Guirassy has frequently made the headlines in the Italian media. Announced in the sights of AC Milan, but also of Manchester United or Newcastle, the Guinean striker was rewarded for his incredible start to the season with Stuttgart. With 17 goals in 14 matches, he found himself ranked 2nd top scorer in the Bundesliga. Above all, the existence of a release clause excited many clubs. It amounted to 17 million euros and was active for the winter transfer window. An affordable price for a confident scorer.

But in the end no one moved, and as reported Kicker this Wednesday, the clause expired. In fact, it did not concern the entire winter market and ended in mid-January. VfB Stuttgart can breathe a sigh of relief, their 27-year-old striker will not leave them in January, unless an offer is much higher than €17 million. But the German club will not find him immediately, since Guirassy is in Ivory Coast for the African Cup of Nations, even if he was injured during preparation on January 8.
