Paris Saint-Germain should make a notable start in the coming hours.

His name had almost disappeared from the radar since a chaotic summer which had weakened his status: a year and a half after his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain, Hugo Ekitike should leave the capital. Not retained in the professional group during the club’s official competition matches this season, the former Rémois is about to open a new chapter in his career.

Despite this delicate period, Hugo Ekitike maintains a certain popularity on the market. His technical profile, his size and his promises shown in Reims during his emergence in Ligue 1 remained in people’s minds. In recent days, the name of the French striker has come up in Germany (Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt) and England (Wolverhampton). Significant competition for a player who has not been on the pitch for 6 months.

Big sacrifices for Ekitike

According to information from Bild, it is Eintracht Frankfurt which would hold the rope for the signing of the 21-year-old striker. Looking for reinforcement in this position since the departure of Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain, the Bundesliga club would still be seduced by the qualities of the Frenchman. However, Ekitike would have to make financial sacrifices to get his career back on track. The German media specifies that Frankfurt would not be inclined to offer a salary higher than 3 million euros per year, or almost half of the player’s current salary.
