As expected, Swiss international Ulisses Garcia signed with OM this Tuesday from Young Boys. This 28-year-old player is expected to become the understudy for the next left-back that Pablo Longoria will recruit.
While the departure of Renan Lodi for Saudi Arabia is being finalized (this loan with obligation to purchase could bring in up to 25 million euros!), OM formalized the arrival of Ulisses Garcia on Tuesday afternoon, for three and a half years. This 28-year-old Swiss international (4 caps) was recruited from Young Boys Berne for an announced amount of three million euros.

Trained at Servette then at Grasshoppers, Garcia, a native of Portugal who arrived in Switzerland at the age of three, failed to win at Werder Bremen from 2016 to 2018, before returning to his championship ‘origin. He scored 12 goals and provided 40 assists in 195 matches in all competitions.
Garcia is expected to become the understudy of the next recruit at the left back position. President Pablo Longoria is reportedly trying to secure the services of French international Adrien Truffert. Euro 2020 winner Leonardo Spinazzola would be another lead. The arrival of Josh Doig from Hellas Verona is now ruled out.
