The jersey that the France team at Euro 2024 leaked. It will pay homage to the one worn by the Blues, winners of Euro 1984.

In just under five months, Euro 2024 will begin. Organized in Germany from June 14 to July 14, the event will perhaps allow the French team to do better than its sad Euro performance. 2021 ended in blood sausage from the round of 16 stage. To give the Tricolores a little more chance, the jersey sponsor has in any case decided to call on the glorious veterans of the 1980s.

While waiting to be officially presented, the jersey that the Blues will wear during the next Euro has leaked on the internet. This new version is a direct homage to Michel Platini’s band, victorious in the first Euro won by France forty years ago. However, the jersey will be closer to the 1982 version than to the 1984 version.

Differences all the same

For the “home” version, Nike therefore drew on history and was inspired by the work of the time done by Adidas. The jersey will be a little lighter blue than the latest versions. The main change will concern the rooster, greatly enlarged and colored.

The “away” version is again a direct nod to the 82 jersey. Blue and red streaks as at the time, but a notable difference all the same since Kylian Mbappé and his partners will not have any false collar on their outfit, as Michel Platini and his comrades could have had. Everyone will have their own opinion on this new collection.
