The broadcast of Senegal-Gambia, the first day of the African Cup of Nations, was cut off in the middle of the broadcast. A technical problem in Ivory Coast is at the origin.

Bad news for supporters of Senegal and Gambia, who wanted to watch the African Cup of Nations meeting between their two teams. The broadcast of the match on beIN Sports 1 was interrupted in the middle of the first period. But the Franco-Qatari channel, which broadcasts the entire CAN in France, has nothing to do with it.

According to Senegalese journalist Mansour Loum, this breakdown is due to a technical problem in Ivory Coast. A huge storm falls on Ebimpé, the place from which the world beam leaves. It is therefore not only beIN Sports but all broadcasters on the planet who are a priori affected.

Viewers had time to see the opener, signed by Marseillais Pape Gueye, on a pass from Sadio Mané (4th). During the second part of the first period, the one which was not broadcast, no goals were scored. But the TV missed the red card received by the Gambian Ebou Adams just before returning to the locker room (45th + 8). The broadcast of the meeting was able to resume for the start of the second half.
