Real Madrid dominated their great Catalan rival in the final of the Spanish Super Cup thanks to a fiery Vinicius.
Defeated (3-1) in the Super Cup final last year, Real Madrid wanted to take revenge on the Blaugrana. During the first Clasico, in the championship, this season, the Merengue won on the Catalan pitch (2-1). They repeated this feat this evening with a very precocious Vinicius. From the 7th minute, the Brazilian took advantage of a wonderful pass from Bellingham to deal a first blow to Barça.
A second one wouldn’t be long. Three minutes later, Carvajal delivered a superb through ball to Rodrygo, launched on the right, whose serve to Vinicius allowed the latter to tackle victoriously for the double. Lewandowski revived Barça after half an hour, but a penalty from Vinicius allowed Madrid to lead 3-0 at half-time. Taking advantage of the defensive generosity of a Catalan team that managed depth poorly, Vinicius scored very early in this final. Relaunched by Lewandowski, the Barcelonars immediately fell back before the break.
