PSG could receive a boost to their interest in Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes.
Parisian leaders are drawing up a long list of potential targets for the midfielder in 2024 and Brazilian star Bruno Guimaraes is a possible option to strengthen the team. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said in October that Barcelona, too, had monitored Guimaraes ahead of his move to St. James’ Park in January 2022.
Guimaraes has emerged as a crucial player for the Magpies but manager Eddie Howe has admitted the Premier League’s financial rules (FFP) are causing him problems in the transfer market. According to the latest information from Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona is following the situation with interest, but is not able to respect Guimaraes’ release clause of 100 million pounds, while PSG would be able to pay it.
Barcelona could look to make a structured transfer bid, which would include a player swap but could be valued at £80m, as Newcastle look increasingly likely to fail to qualify for the Champions League for 2024 /25.
