Traveling on Saturday with his Fulham team to neighbors Chelsea, Kenny Tete decided to return to Vélib after his team’s defeat (1-0, 21st day of the Premier League).
This Saturday took place a London derby between Chelsea and Fulham, as part of the twenty-first day of the Premier League. A meeting that the visitors lost by the smallest of margins (1-0). At departure time, an unusual scene did not escape the incredulous looks of the supporters still present around Stamford Bridge after the match. Preferring to refuse a return home in a luxury car, Kenny Tete got on a Vélib.
His small suitcase wedged as best he could in the fluorescent green basket installed on the handlebars, the former Olympique Lyonnais however seemed a little lost. In any case, the scene amused the few onlookers all around. On the internet, there were many positive comments, with users congratulating Tete for choosing the bike rather than the car for his (short) journey home.

Under contract until next June with a Fulham club which he joined in 2020 after his time at OL, Kenny Tete should be automatically extended for one season, until June 2025.
