Continuation of the 20th day of Serie A this Saturday evening. Monza welcomed leader Inter Milan to Lombardy, as part of a regional derby, organized on the lawn of the Brianteo stadium. While the Brianzoli quickly suffered from Milan’s domination, Hakan Çalhanoğlu opened the scoring with a penalty caused by Lautaro Martinez (12th), before the latter doubled the lead a few minutes later (14th) on a pass from Federico Dimarco. Matteo Pessina thought he could reduce the score after half an hour of play but was ultimately flagged offside (32nd). In the second half, Çalhanoğlu scored a double (60th) just like Martinez (84th).

Matteo Pessina had earlier found the net to save the honor (69th) but Marcus Thuram put it back in the last moments of this great Milan victory (1-5). In the standings, Monza remains in a good position in the Italian championship with a good 11th position, very few points behind the European race, while Inter Milan is still at the top of Serie A. Next weekend, Monza will play in Empoli, during the 21st day of the championship, while the Nerazzurri will face Lazio in Supercoppa Italia.
