After his heroic return with Manchester City this Saturday, Kevin De Bruyne returned to his injury and his feelings.

The mark of the greats. After five months of absence and a handful of minutes played against Huddersfield in the FA Cup this week, Kevin De Bruyne completely turned the match around Manchester City in Newcastle. Author of a goal and an assist, the Belgian international allowed his team to win and perhaps marked a turning point in the Cityzens’ season.

“I missed it”

Congratulated by Pep Guardiola, who no longer has words to describe his talent, the playmaker savored this triumphant return after the match. “I missed it, you know. It’s like that. I had a big injury and I needed time. I had fun doing things I never could have done. I worked hard to come back”he commented on the microphone of TNT Sports 1.

The 32-year-old is, however, aware that he is not yet in full possession of his physical capabilities and that he will still have to work to be 100% during the entirety of a match. “I think it was more willpower than anything else. It was crazy. I know I can’t do this for 90 minutes right now. But I know I can do it for 20-25 minutes hard. I feel it in my lungs, especially with the cold”added number 17 of the Skyblues.
