Kylian Mbappé could be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer, but the deal to sign the striker will still cost a huge sum.
Mbappé’s contract at PSG will expire at the end of the season and, starting this month, he can agree a deal with another club that will see him leave next summer without the Ile-de-France side receiving silver. However, recruiting the 25-year-old will be a costly undertaking for the club who manage to lure him away from Paris.
The real price of Mbappé
Real Madrid remains the favorite to sign the striker and Telegraph reports that the French international expects to sign a contract worth at least €75 million per year after tax. Furthermore, he will likely expect a significant signing bonus, given that he will save his new club a considerable amount of money by finishing his contract at PSG.
It was recently reported that the striker had already agreed to join the Spanish giants, but his camp released a statement denying he had made a decision regarding his future. He reportedly agreed to inform PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his next step before making a public announcement.
The president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, is studying the possibility of a summer transfer of Kylian Mbappé before announcing the rest. The report adds that it could be “days away” from making a decision, while Madrid, PSG and Liverpool are all said to be awaiting news on his future.
