A former OL player believes that Pierre Sage is benefiting from the work that was accomplished by his predecessor Fabio Grosso.
Pierre Sage has given OL some color. Appointed head of the team at the end of November, he completely relaunched Les Gones. Currently, he even remains on four consecutive victories. An assessment which also convinced his management to confirm him in his functions until the end of the season.
Pierre Sage, less deserving than we think?
The former training center director therefore succeeded in the challenge set for him. However, there are some who are not yet completely convinced that he is the man for the job. This is the case, for example, of Vikash Dhorasoo, the former Les Gones midfielder.
Speaking on the L’Equipe Channel, the former French international suggested that Sage is essentially benefiting from the seeds sown by his predecessor, Fabio Grosso. “He’s getting Grosso’s job back,” he began by confiding. It was Grosso who chicaned the main executives of the team. And Sage must have seen that they needed to be rocked. He recovers players who have a spirit of revenge,” he confided.
A questionable opinion. Because if Sage perhaps inherited the foundations laid by the Italian coach, it was he who knew how to impose sacred union in the group. And he is unanimous among his players. Finally, it was with him in charge that OL were finally able to get out of the red zone and think about something other than maintaining.
