Olympique de Marseille welcomes Racing Club de Strasbourg this Friday for the 18th day of Ligue 1 (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Alsatian club.

It is a Strasbourg team in a clear upturn in form which travels to the Stade Vélodrome to challenge Olympique de Marseille this Friday evening, in the opening match of the 18th day of Ligue 1 (kick-off at 9 p.m. ). Moribund throughout the fall, the Alsatian team remains in 5 matches without the slightest setback, including 4 consecutive victories.

If Patrick Vieira appreciates this renewal, the 1998 world champion is aware that this perilous trip will be “a real test”. Last November, Strasbourg managed to hold on to Olympique Marseille (1-1), but Gennaro Gattuso approaches this second round with a spirit of revenge, less than two months after a meeting which caused a lot of ink to flow.

On the Strasbourg side, Vieira will be faced with a real headache since the Racing coach is approaching this match with a clearly reduced squad. Thomas Delaine, Karol Fila, Emanuel Emegha and Lebo Mothiba are absent due to injuries, while Guinean international Saïdou Sow has joined his team to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The expected line-up for Strasbourg: Salts – Guilbert, Perrin, A. Sylla, Senaya – I. Sissoko, Mwanga, H. Diarra – Angelo, Gameiro, Bakwa.
